Zoom2u teams up with Menulog to deliver food

On-demand express courier service Zoom2u has teamed up with online takeaway platform Menulog to deliver ready-made food.

The young business which has grown through word of mouth provides more than 5,500 Sydney restaurants listed through Menulog with a delivery service.

While many restaurants can’t meet the costs of employing their own exclusive drivers, they can now access an extensive customer base and revenue stream for a small delivery fee, Zoom2u CEO Steve Orenstein says.

The company, which was established just over a year ago and delivers same-day parcels across the country, allows customers to track their delivery via GPS technology, providing them with the driver’s name and phone number.

“After only a few months we started seeing a growing number of restaurants coming to us to ask if we could deliver takeaway food,” Orenstein says.

“Using the new integrated delivery service, Menulog customers will know exactly where their takeaway is and when it will arrive.”

Zoom2u offers a same-day or three-hour delivery service, with drivers being independent contractors who can pick and choose when they work and what jobs they accept.

Customers can register online or via Zoom2u’s app, enter the type of delivery, pickup or drop-off location, and track the parcel’s progress in real-time until drop-off.

Menulog offers 130 different cuisines and more than 16,000 special offers at any given time.
