Long serving Daimler Trucks executive Campbell York has resigned from his role as the general manager and will leave the Melbourne-based company immediately.
York joined Mercedes-Benz Australia-Pacific in January 1998, and worked his way through senior roles in the van division, culminating in the position of general manager.
He was part of the team that secured market leadership for Mercedes-Benz vans in Australia, winning contracts with Australia Post and state ambulance services.
Freightliner Trucks boss Gary Wheatley will take over York’s duties until a permanent appointment is made.
