Wrights acquisition delivers 30th Truckline branch

Expansion in line with parent company Bapcor’s ambitions

Truck and trailer parts firm Truckline acquires Wrights Truck & Trailer Parts, expanding its footprint into Cairns and Far North Queensland.

Wright becomes Truckline’s 30th national branch in the process, in line with listed parent company Bapcor’s ambition to expand the Truckline branch network to over 50 stores in the next three years.

Wrights Truck & Trailer Parts will be converted to a Truckline store in July.

“At Truckline we continue our commitment to support the road industry by providing access to the largest range of quality parts,” Bapcor General Manager – Commercial Vehicle Group Justin O’Brien says.

“We understand that customers are not always located around big cities and therefore, being able to offer an outstanding service even in regional areas, is a key priority.

“A purpose-built facility, located on a major trucking route into Cairns, the store stocks an extensive range catering to the needs of fleet owners, owner drivers and professional parts installers.”

Wrights managing director Geoff Wright and his team have been in the industry for 20 years and will stay on as part of the Truckline Cairns team, with Geoff to continue in the newly acquired business as Truckline Cairns branch manager.

“Right from the start, they have been focused on how best to serve customers providing a fast and efficient service,” O’Brien says.

“This customer focus has served them well over the years with an ever-expanding loyal customer base growing and will continue into the future as the team continues to do what they do best, keeping a smile on the face of our customers.”

The ongoing expansion tilt saw Ballarat become Truckline’s 29th branch recently, with Brown Plains the 28th and Ipswich the 27th.

Wangaratta and Campbellfield, born from Truckline acquiring Adams Transport Equipment and converted the sites to Truckline stores, preceded these moves.
