Works affect traffic changes on the Sturt Highway

Starting today, the Sturt Highway at Wagga Wagga will undergo works on the Marshalls Creek Bridge, causing changed traffic conditions until Tuesday December 9.

The highway will be closed on both nights between Kooringal Road and Nagle Street from 9pm to 6am.

Operators of vehicles over 4.5 tonnes travelling through Wagga Wagga must detour via Eunony Bridge Road, Merino Road and the Olympic Highway. This detour will add up to 15 minutes additional travel time.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route.

Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.

To receive updates direct to your phone, including any changes to proposed closure dates, search for ‘Marshalls Creek, East Wagga Wagga’ in your Live Traffic app, select the incident and click ‘Follow’.
