Women in transport receive a welcome boost from Viva Energy

The push to make the transport industry more attractive to women received a welcome boost with news Viva Energy has signed on to back a not for profit organisation focused on the advancement of female participation in the sector

The future for women in Australia’s transport industry continues to evolve and strengthen with the news Viva Energy Australia has signed a Silver Partnership with leading women’s advocacy group Transport Women Australia Limited (TWAL).

TWAL provides networking and mentoring opportunities for women working in, or interested in working in, the transport industry.

Its aim is to promote diversity and provide encourage and opportunities towards non-traditional career paths in transport, and to recognise and promote the achievements and contributions of women in transport.

Viva Energy Australia has been a long term supporter of the group and this latest partnership is being celebrated by both parties as a strengthening of their commitment to the advancement of women within the transport and logistics industry.

The partnership will strengthen the bond between the two groups and enable TWAL to continue to provide programmes and initiative to its members.

“This partnership with Viva continues the exciting year for TWAL and we are looking forward to working more closely with Nick and with the Viva team,” says TWAL Chair Jacquelene Brotherton.
