WiseTech opens new year with new acquisition

WiseTech Global has announced an agreement to acquire ImpexDocs, pending certain conditions and regulatory approval

Australian global logistics execution software provider WiseTech Global has kicked off the new year by announcing an agreement to acquire ImpexDocs, a provider of a suite of Global Trade Management (GTM) solutions.

ImpexDocs is headquartered in Sydney and is being acquired from the Acme Trade Group, with completion of the deal subject to certain conditions including regulatory approval.

It was established in 2003 and has a presence in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, where it provides a unified digital platform for export supply chain executives to manage international trade processes and documentation.

It also provides visibility of the status of orders, shipments and contracts.

“The acquisition of ImpexDocs brings proven GTM capability to WiseTech’s solutions as well as a team of domain experts in global trade execution and compliance,” WiseTech Global CEO Vlad Bilanovsky says.

“This will help accelerate ongoing product development within digital documentation – one of our six priorities to extend the CargoWise system.”

ImpexDocs’ functionality will become part of the wider WiseTech group of compliance, trade and logistics products, with its customers maintaining the ability to access its solutions.

It will remain under the current leadership of Founder and CEO Manish Desai.

“We are excited about the opportunities enabled by joining WiseTech as the global reach and extensive resources will help bring ImpexDocs’ solution to a much larger potential market, while opening new career opportunities for our team members,” Desai says.”
