The new purpose-built DC will help the group’s logistics and supply chain capabilities
Australian retail entity Winning Group will move into a new 45,750 sqm purpose-built distribution centre in Wacol, Brisbane in September this year.
The new Wacol distribution centre is an increase on the current Brisbane DC of 18,000 sqm and will add 20 new loading docks to their centre.
Now their largest DC, the new centre allows the Winning Group to enhance their transport and logistics capabilities, enabling their supply chain to move even quicker and accurately then before.
The DC will be the base of the Winning Group’s logistic business Winning Services and provide them more space to facilitate an efficient supply chain and logistics company.
It will act to service the group’s businesses Appliances Online, Home Clearance, Winning Appliances and Rogerseller, as well as third party logistics partners including King Living, iFit and Sub-Zero and Wolf.
Wacol’s new DC will be slightly bigger than the Winning Group’s Altona North DC in Victoria, making it the company’s largest DC.
“We are excited to announce that we will be moving into a new purpose-built and world-class distribution centre in Wacol, Brisbane to service future growth for the Winning Group,” Winning Services GM Mick Bunt says.
