Healthcare organisations looking to increase supply efficiencies with the National Product Catalogue (NPC) will have the opportunity to attend a web-based seminar this month.
GS1 Australia and the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) announced today that a webinar on using the NPC would be held from April 16-20.
NPC is a source of product data for Australian healthcare related purchases, and is hosted by GS1 Australia on GS1net, the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) pool.
NPC is endorsed by state, territory, and federal health departments.
A GS1 Australia spokeswoman says during the free webinar sessions experts from GS1 and NEHTA will outline the business drivers for NPC population and current user requirements for healthcare organisations.
“Attendees will also be able to learn about the documented business benefits for participating organisations,” the spokeswoman says.
Each live webinar will run for 30 minutes. Following the webinars, GS1 Australia and NEHTA will host a series of NPC information seminars in May 2012.
