VTA opens registration for 2024 State Conference

Registrations for the VTA’s annual state conference, that’s set to take place in a months' time, are now open

The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) has announced that registrations are now open for its annual state conference.

The event is set to take place next month between February 17 and 19 at the Silverwater Resort in Phillip Island, with the theme focusing on future freight landscapes.

“The state conference is the VTA’s premier professional development event,” VTA CEO Peter Anderson says.

“Members, associate members and other industry stakeholders are all welcomed to join us for three days of learning, networking and social engagement with fellow members, operators and suppliers.”

Anderson says that technology, intelligence and artificial intelligence are just some of the issues that the transport industry face.

“We invite you to explore what you don’t know but should know about transport, with the VTA assembling experts from industry, regulators, academia and government to challenge our thinking and inform our discussions,” Anderson says.

Amongst the formal sessions, attendees will also get the opportunity to socialise and gain new contacts throughout the industry through a range of networking and hospitality sessions.

A trade exhibition displaying new products and innovations from a range of industry suppliers will also feature.

The VTA says that the conference could also have the latest associated equipment from its domestic and international original equipment manufacturers.

“I look forward to sharing our provisional program over the coming weeks,” Anderson says.

“Delegates can be assured the calibre of presenters will be exceptional, keeping with our reputation for providing a relevant, timely and content-rich state conference.”
