Volvo Trucks is set to launch the latest version of its long-serving FH nameplate, with a number of upgrades in and under the cab.
While Volvo is heavily promoting the introduction of individual front suspension (IFS) for improved ride comfort and handling, including a video called ‘The Ballerina Stunt’, this system is initially only available in left-hand-drive versions.
There is no word on when Australian operators can expect to receive the new technology.
Volvo Australia President Gary Bone says the FH will be released to the Australian market in 2013. While the exact timing is not yet known, a debut at the Brisbane Truck Show could be expected.
Volvo will unveil the new FH in an online launch on September 6.
