Volvo issues recall over handbrake problem

Incorrect setting impact on parking brake affects 10 trucks

 

Volvo has issued a recall notice for several models of its truck sold between 2018-2021.

The recall affects FM11, FM13, FMX13, FH13, FH16 models.

Due to an incorrect setting on the external remote control, the remote brake request feature does not engage the parking brake under certain speed conditions (low speed),” according to the recall notice on the ACCC website.

Volvo says it will notify owners in writing about the recall in order to make an appointment for the vehicles to be repaired.
