Volvo Group Australia (VGA) has announced a change to its executive team, with Jahra Taylor appointed to the position of Vice President, Remarketing.

The VGA remarketing business provides customer support through the supply and trading of used commercial vehicles.

Taylor first joined VGA in 2022 as Regional Finance Manager for Volvo Financial Services across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

President and CEO of Volvo Group Australia Martin Merrick says Taylor’s experience across her career will be crucial in ensuring the company’s Remarketing practice continue to go from strength to strength.

“Remarketing plays a critical role in supporting our fleet clients, driving future new truck sales and aligning with our strategic focus on total solutions,” Merrick says.

“Jahra’s diverse experience, business acumen and proven ability to strengthen dealer and customer relationships will be pivotal as she leads this important area of our business.

“We are absolutely committed to customer success. Providing transport and business solutions that not only meet but also exceed customer expectations is at the core of everything we do.

“We look forward to seeing Jahra take our remarketing business to the next level.”

Volvo Group has operated in the Australian vehicle manufacturing market for over 50 years and claims to be Australia’s largest heavy vehicle manufacturer.

Recent T-Mark data to the end of October shows Volvo is one of the most popular truck brands in the country and sits fifth overall in total trucks sold in Australia from January to October, 2024.

It is the second most popular supplier of heavy-duty trucks in the country, behind only Kenworth.
