Volvo Group Australia (VGA) has announced its 2018 Dealers of the Year, with VCV Sydney crowned Metropolitan Dealer of the Year and CMV Traralgon taking out the Regional Dealer of the Year award.

The Dealer of the Year Awards recognises the achievements of Volvo Group’s dealer network for the Volvo, Mack and UD brands and were held at the annual Retail Handshake Conference on the Gold Coast.

The awards are based on factors including customer satisfaction and market share.

“I would like to congratulate VCV Sydney and CMV Traralgon for delivering incredible results during 2018,” VGA president and CEO Martin Merrick says.

“The competition was intense and shows the strength of Volvo’s comprehensive dealer network across Australia.

“Both VCV Sydney and CMV Traralgon thoroughly deserve their awards and their ongoing commitment to delivering great customer service sets them up for continued success in 2019.”

His sentiments were echoed by vice president of services and retail development Tom Conlon.

“Volvo Group Australia is committed to delivering the best products and support for our customers,” Conlon says.

“The annual Dealer of the Year Awards celebrates Volvo Group’s culture and recognises excellence across our dealer network.

“Our winners should be extremely proud of their achievements and I congratulate them.”

VCV Sydney dealer principal Greg Sargeant accepted the metropolitan award on behalf of the business.

“The award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team and I could not be more proud of them,” he says.

“2018 was a big year for VCV Sydney, including moving the Chullora dealership to our bigger and better home at Prestons, South West Sydney.

“With 40 service bays, our new state-of-the-art facility now offers our customers a 24-hour-a-day service, with the workshop opening on Monday morning and not closing until lunchtime on Saturday.

“As well as offering incredible products through Volvo, Mack and UD trucks along with Volvo Bus, VCV Sydney is focussed on delivering a premium customer experience.

“This has been the key to our success and we look forward to delivering for our customers at our Prestons, Blacktown and Newcastle locations in 2019 and beyond.”
