Victoria police locate stolen digger and tipper

A Victorian taskforce has managed to find a stolen digger and tipper in Glen Iris

The Victoria police says its VIPER Taskforce has recovered a stolen digger and tipper.

Members from the VIPER Taskforce have charged and remanded a Glen Iris man after attending an address under a Firearm Prohibition Order.

Officers attended the address in Gatis Street, Glen Iris around 4PM on December 16 to ensure there were no firearms at the property.

Whilst on the property, members of VIPER located an allegedly stolen tipper truck and bobcat valued in excess of $150,000.

Officers also allegedly located a vial of anabolic steroids and a credit card believed to be unlawfully in the possession of a 43-year-old Glen Iris man who was arrested at the address.

He has been charged with theft of motor car, handle stolen goods, possess drug of dependence, unlawful possession and other charges.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 17, but most importantly, the tipper and digger have been recovered.
