Velocity Truck Centres leases new $10m Corio site

Velocity Truck Centres has leased a new site in Corio that will allow it to move its home from North Geelong

Truck dealer Velocity Truck Centres has announced the construction of a new $10 million factory built in Corio, Victoria.

Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles attended the industrial factory that has been built to specifications for Velocity Truck Centres to check out the 3600sqm facility being leased to Velocity Truck Centres by Bisinella Developments.

As first reported by news.com.au, Velocity Truck Centres has signed a 10-year lease at 35-45 Technology Close, Corio, allowing it to relocate from Edols Road in North Geelong.

The new site will serve as Velocity’s Geelong truck sales and servicing home, where it will continue selling Fuso, Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz truck models.

“Once people see us in town with the brands that we serve, you’ll find other truck people will move out onto the side of the highway as well because it is really the great position with the main freeway running around,” Velocity Truck Centres chief financial officer Joe Calabro told news.com.au.
