Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) has announced the promotion of Richard Higgins to the position of president of its Velocity Truck Centres Unit.
Higgins will continue to be responsible for managing the operations of the 17 Velocity Truck Centres locations in Australia, overseeing its overall strategy and ensuring its strong performance for our customers.
Since first joining VVG in 2021, Higgins has served as the executive vice president. During that time, Higgins has driven a number of important improvements, including completing the integration of the acquisition from Eagers Automotive, bringing consistent policies and processes across the locations, implementing a new business management system, completing additional acquisitions in Huntingwood and Broome and building a management team to continue to raise the level of service provided by Velocity Truck Centres (VTC) for the future.
“Richard has done a terrific job in leading a very complicated change process while servicing our customers based on our mission of speed, value, and trust,” VVG co-presidents Brad Fauvre and Conan Baker say.
“We are encouraged at the prospect of continuing to realise more improvements within our Australia operations under his leadership. We have a long way to go to sell more vehicles and raise our level of customer service and we are confident that we are on the right track to get there.”
