With a strong focus on customer service and supplying high quality used trucks, trailers and heavy machinery, EPJ Trading is a family-run business that goes that extra mile
Based in Trentham, about 90km north-west of Melbourne, EPJ Trading is a supplier of used trucks, trailers and earthmoving and forestry machinery and has a high level of customer service at its core.
Begun by Peter Griffiths around 50 years ago, the vision for EPJ Trading was to grow and maintain a stable working environment for future generations as well as provide quality service to customers. Today, EPJ is part of a group of companies run by four of Peter’s children: Sharon, Jack, Mark and Ben Griffiths.
The group of companies include an earthmoving division in Victoria and beef cattle farming and a logging/forestry enterprise in Tasmania. On average, EPJ has 10 trucks, 10 trailers and 20 machines for sale, covering all ages, makes and models of used trucks and machines, and supplying these across Australia and internationally.
Previously the company manufactured plant trailers and low loaders and brings this expertise to the used truck and machinery market.
EPJ’s business model includes the supply of quality older trucks to the market for a fair price and the company aims to cater to a market that does not want, or is unable to, purchase new trucks. It trades in prime movers, tippers and water carts of all models, with a focus on the Kenworth brand.
With interruptions to supply chains due to COVID and the current huge demand for trucks both causing delays in the supply of new vehicles, EPJ has had many new customers through the door looking for quality used trucks for their fleets.
EPJ is dedicated to keeping its customers satisfied, with the company being built on a reputation of fairness and integrity. It is this reputation for being honest and providing quality service that has allowed this business to thrive, with many repeat satisfied customers. It also aims to respond promptly to all enquiries and will endeavour to source items for clients that it doesn’t have in stock.
EPJ is also actively involved with the community, sponsoring the Trentham Football Netball Club and local CFA volunteer fire brigade, and are sponsors of the 2022 Trentham Spudfest, which will take place at the beginning of May and celebrates the local potato harvest.
