Updated RBT procedure now in action

The revised National Roller Brake Testing procedure is now available following a two-stage rollout of the altered regulation

The NHVR has made the updated National Roller Brake Testing procedure available, meaning all roller brake testers used for compliance testing are now required to meet updated standards as of August 1, 2024.

The new standards include a refreshed template, improved appearance and clarified information to improve useability without compromising the core content of the procedure. The revision enhances testing and procedures in line with the National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual.

The RBT procedure is primarily used for compliance checks and registration purposes, and operators are encouraged to download the updated procedure the ensure continued compliance with regulations.
