Locomotives for Pacific National Rail will be supplied as part of $170 million in contracts won by engineering services company UGL.
UGL announced today
the contract win to supply two C44ACi locomotives to Pacific National Rail, expanding
its 93-class fleet.
UGL has also won a contract to supply six C44ACi locomotives to Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia, which provides tailored locomotive and rolling stock leasing to rail operators around Australia.
The contacts, combined with other contracts, including $50 million work in asset maintenance across the oil and gas, minerals processing, transport, and social infrastructure sectors across Australia, are estimated to be worth $170 million for the company.
Pacific National is a division of Asciano, Australia’s largest national rail freight and ports operator.
UGL provides construction, maintenance, and asset management services to the rail, resources, and infrastructure sectors.
