Truss and Gay to address logistics gatherings

Two of the country’s top decision-makers are to speak at ALC forum and dinner

The Australian Logistics Council has lined up two of the most powerful political voices in transport and logistics at its March national conference.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Warren Truss to deliver the keynote address at the ALC Annual Dinner.

Truss will provide an overview of some of the key issues, projects and initiatives being considered by the Coalition Government in the area of freight logistics.

He will explain how the Coalition Government plans to deliver on improved infrastructure investment, regulatory reform, freight efficiency and a safer supply chain.

Meanwhile, as he gears up for his fourth year in the job, New South Wales Roads and Ports Minister Duncan Gay is to provide the opening address at the ALC Forum 2014, next month with a view to providing insights on the future of the freight logistics industry in the state.

“Since coming to office in March 2011, the NSW Government has made real progress in the freight logistics sector through targeted infrastructure and improved long-term planning,” the ALC says.
