Productivity gains and business values cited as reasons for being part of industry initiative

December 19, 2012

Macquarie Valley Transport and Australian Heavy Logistics are the latest companies to become TruckSafe accredited.

Australian Heavy Logistics Managing Director Chris Miers says joining TruckSafe was the next step forward for the Queensland-based company in honouring its core business values.

“Our specialist staff pride ourselves in our uncompromising dedication to safety, the highest quality equipment, accountability for our actions and service and integrity in our dealings with all,” Miers says.

“TruckSafe provides us with guidance on how to improve our performance even further into the future.”

New South Wales general carrier Macquarie Valley Transport hopes to improve its productivity thanks to TruckSafe’s fleet management protocols, owner Lea Munro says.

“Joining TruckSafe is our way of moving outside the square and setting our business up to go further in the future,” Munro says.

TruckSafe Chairman Stephen Marley has welcomed the new members who have joined the ranks of safe trucking operators.

“TruckSafe is dedicated to assisting trucking operators to provide safe and professional service to their customers and the community at large,” Marley says.

“Joining TruckSafe is an action that benefits the operator, their staff and the community.”
