TRUCK TECH opens Queensland branch

TRUCK TECH, an independent provider of heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs, has opened its first branch in Queensland

After initially expanding from its Chipping Norton, NSW base into Melbourne two years ago, TRUCK TECH has strengthened its presence on Australia’s eastern seaboard with the opening of a third branch, this time in Queensland, earlier this year.

Founded by Barry Saad almost 20 years ago, TRUCK TECH’s new Queensland branch is strategically located in Stapylton, almost smack bang in the middle of Brisbane and the Gold Coast and just a stone’s throw from one of Australia’s key freight routes, the Pacific Highway.

Given the status of Australia’s eastern seaboard as the nation’s road freight stronghold, Saad tells ATN further expansion across the country outside of New South Wales was necessary to enable TRUCK TECH to position itself to greater provide its heavy vehicle maintenance and repair services to a range of clients.

“77 per cent of the population and 80 per cent of the trucking industry are located in the three eastern states and road freight is expected to increase 77 per cent between now and 2050,” Saad says.

“It was obvious TRUCK TECH needed to expand beyond New South Wales and open branches in Victoria and Queensland.

“Without trucks Australia stops. Heavy vehicles transport people and supplies thousands of kilometres across Australia.

“Our well-trained technicians and proactive fleet maintenance solutions enable customers’ vehicles to operate with minimal downtime and for their drivers to return home safely.”

The new Staplyton branch has already received approval from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads to become an approved Inspection Station.

This certification has only expanded the level and standard of important services TRUCK TECH can provide customers with fleets of heavy vehicles.

As part of the celebrations in opening the new Stapylton branch Truck Tech held an open day and welcomed employees and clients from all over Australia through its doors.

Over 500 people attended the event, during which over $10,000 was raised by the company for children’s cancer charity Camp Quality.

Alongside its continued support of Camp Quality, TRUCK TECH also supports charities Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds and Special Children’s Christmas Party.

Queensland Branch Manager Ben Lambert moved from the Chipping Norton base to take charge of the new branch. He hammered home the importance of TRUCK TECH’s ability to conduct operations across Australia’s three eastern mainland states.

“I moved here from the Chipping Norton branch of TRUCK TECH, and I’m really enjoying living and working in Queensland,” Lambert says.

“Being part of a growing company is exciting for me. Having operations in all three eastern states gives our customers more coverage, faster repairs on their heavy vehicles and increased uptime.

“That means more goods can be transported to more people and more businesses, more quickly.”

The opening of the new Stapylton branch means TRUCK TECH now provides its variety of maintenance and repair services for trucks, buses and trailers across Australia’s eastern seaboard 24 hours a day.

Its teams of trusted mechanics, technicians, electricians and welder/fabricators working in all three branches are doing their best to keep Australia’s fleets safe and moving.
