Castrol has chosen the Brisbane Truck Show to launch its new range of RX and Vecton heavy duty diesel oils.

Using the catch cry of “Engineuity”, Castrol claims Vecton oil can provide up to 60,000km oil drain intervals as well as contributing to overall vehicle fuel economy.

After extensive Australian field testing on top of a rigorous lab testing regime, Castrol says the new oil will be available to heavy vehicle owner and operators from June this year.

Castrol claims the new oil product prevents oil thickening, contributing to fuel economy as well reducing piston deposits, contaminants and soot.

This is also said to contribute to lower CO2 emissions and increased performance. The oil has been approved for use by local OEMs and is available in three different grades: 15W-40, 5W-30 and 10W-40.
