Truck drivers added to national skills shortage list

The ATA says truck driving is now being recognised as a profession in shortage

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has announced that truck driving is now part of Australia’s national skills shortage list.

The ATA says truck driving had been added as an occupation in its weekly newsletter.

The national skills priority list provides a detailed view of occupations in shortage, as well as the future demand for occupations in Australia.

Truck driving is one of 129 occupations that has been added as a job in shortage in 2022 after not being considered in shortage in 2021.
