As Woodley’s customer base grew, so did his offering and he began selling second-hand refrigeration units too. Greg quickly built a solid reputation in the local refrigerated transport sector and was approached by global refrigeration unit manufacturer Thermo King in 1993, to begin selling its products. In 1993 TRS was offered exclusive distributor for Thermo King in New South Wales, and the exclusive distributor in South Australia in 2008. Another global brand TRS offer is Anteo Tail-Lifts and is the distributor in NSW and SA.

Having evolved within the transport industry with over 40 years experience, “You get to know what your clients really need, what their pain points are, and what they actually need to run a successful business,” says Greg Woodley.

By supplying and servicing world-class products like Thermo King refrigeration units, Anteo Tail-Lifts, Thermaxx Advantage, Govi mobile coolroom refrigeration and VebaBox cooling containers. It’s this that has lead TRS to become the dominant player in the transport industry today.

TRS not only offer exceptional products they offer related services like, Cargo Technologies, (they will repair any make of truck body,) Fleet Service, 24hour Roadside Assistance, RTR Refrigerated Truck Rentals, TRS Transit Bus and coach air conditioning service, all backed up with TRS Parts, which hold a vast selection of parts for all the products and service they supply.

“Our motto is ‘TRS KEEPS YOU IN TOP GEAR’. We understand your tuck is the lifeblood of your business, so we do everything in our power to keep your trucks moving day and night,” Greg says with conviction.

TRS employs specialist technicians for every product we sell. We have Thermo King, Anteo and Thermaxx vans out on the road, workshops set up to service all of our products and a specialist to talk to about anything our customers need,” explains Daniel Witon, General Manager at TRS.

“At TRS, we ensure we react to customer requirements. If they have a problem, we’ve got the people to fix it whether it’s daytime, nighttime or Christmas day. We have service technicians across the state and technicians on standby at all times, so we can get someone out to our customers for any issues our customers encounter, and within the hour, whether they are in the city or country. A unique insight into our success is, Greg continues to oversee his business day-to-day, and many of his customers still ring him directly – from the smallest to the biggest clients,” says Daniel.

“What Greg did when he started the business was solve people’s issues, if they had trouble with their refrigeration units, or need a new product Greg would fix it. He still innovates and problem solves today. This problem-solving culture permeates through the company, and now he has built a vast national team around him that can do that as well. TRS is now a national company in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and now in Queensland.” explains Daniel with great pride.

Over the last decade, one of the standout products from TRS is the renowned Thermaxx  Advantage Truck Bodies, which have become Australia’s leading truck bodies today. Thermaxx Truck Bodies seem to be popping up all over the country. The next time you pass DHL Logistics Truck, a Thrifty or Budget Rental Truck, Micway Cold Logistics or a refrigerated Woolworths delivery truck, take a look at the top corner of the body, chances are you will see the Thermaxx logo, a logo which has become synonymous with quality truck bodies throughout Australia.

“We found our clients were calling out for a quality truck body range that was high on quality and also had a support system in place to service those bodies,” Greg explained.  After years of research and development, Thermaxx was born, and with that, one of the highest quality range of truck bodies was released to the market. Today Thermaxx caters to every style of business from small one-man-business operations to large multi-national corporations and everywhere in between.

The history behind the Thermaxx brand is built on old fashioned values. These values flow through to all our customers who are well looked after whether they come in for a new truck body, pre-booked maintenance or emergency repairs. Although values are old fashioned throughout the Thermaxx workshops, the processes are anything but, with 3D cad designing by highly talented staff, and unique process that encompasses the latest composite technology – with no metal fasteners holding  the panels together, this makes its insulating properties second to none, giving the lowest ‘K-Value’ of any truck body in Australia. They employ only the most highly skilled technicians who work to the highest levels of quality and with the most technologically advanced IFAC panels in the world today.

“Once the design has been completed, we put the body through a number of rigorous computerised tests to ensure that your weight distribution is perfect and that your new truck body complies with all Australian government regulations. The outcome of this process will result in anything from a family business Ute, to a 9-metre body to fit a 100 strong fleet,” Greg says.

So, whether you are in the market for your first truck for your new start-up, or looking to upgrade your fleet of 100, Thermaxx Truck Bodies has a business solution for you. If you’re in need for a Thermo King refrigeration unit, Anteo Tail-Lift, TRS Servicing, an RTR refrigerated truck to rent or simply need a fan belt, TRS is the one-stop-shop company that can facilitate all your transportation needs that takes your pain away.
