Global logistics leader DHL has announced new appointments to three key leadership positions in the Asia-Pacific region.
They follow the appointment of Andries Retief as Chief Commercial Officer of Supply Chain Europe, Middle East and Africa, which will come into effect on September 1, 2024.
Edwin Wong – who has been with DHL for two decades – has been appointed as CEO of DHL Supply Chain South-East Asia. Fanny Huang’s role has been expanded to Head of Taiwan and China Representative Office, while Michael Lai has been appointed as Head of Service Logistics, Asia-Pacific.
CEO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific Javier Bilbao says all three appointments have been made in recognition of the strong internal talent DHL possesses within its ranks.
“Recognising and leveraging our internal talent underscores the strength of our workforce and our dedication to fostering a culture of growth and opportunity,” Bilbao says.
“Each of them brings their distinct expertise and their deep knowledge of our operations and commitment to our mission will be invaluable as we help our customers grow and build their supply chain resiliency in this region.”
All three appointments will be based in Singapore.
