Transtech launches vehicle performance monitoring

IAP provider expands offering with launch of vehicle performance monitoring to give operators insight into how their trucks are travelling

August 29, 2013

Transtech has expanded its service offering with the launch of a vehicle performance monitoring tool to give operators an insight into how well their trucks are travelling.

The Intelligent Access Program (IAP) provider says its Vehicle Performance Monitor (VPM) has the ability to see if a vehicle is running at optimal levels, using too much fuel, is excessively revving or braking harshly.

It says VPM provides reports on each metric and that transport companies can use the results to focus on driver behaviour.

“VPM is a tool that monitors the vehicle and associated driver behaviour assisting in improving performance and efficiency. Operators now have the ability to offer drivers incentive on enhanced driving practices,” Transtech CEO Andrew Rossington says.

“Operators require the tools and visibility to assist them in maintaining their equipment to maximise its efficiency and return on investment. Ensuring high productivity is paramount to business efficiency and profitability.”
