Transport software developer Wide Scope opens Sydney office

Route optimisation service now available in Australia and New Zealand.

Transport-related software developer Wide Scope has opened a Sydney office to grab a slice of the Australian and New Zealand market.

The Portuguese-based Wide Scope is responsible for the software known as Routyn, which is used in Europe to optimise the planning, routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers.

Wide Scope says the opening of the Sydney office will allow it to provide Routyn to the Australia and New Zealand market.

“With the opening of an office in Sydney, Australian supply chain leaders can also take advantage of Routyn’s advanced capabilities in optimising complex driver, prime mover and trailer planning and scheduling,” Wide Scope managing partner Filipe Carvalho says.

Wide Scope has appointed Alan Thomas to lead its operations. He was previously responsible for bringing a similar transport scheduling software, Ortec, to the Australian market.
