Transport for NSW has announced Bernera Road will be temporarily closed between Jedda Road and Yarrawa Street for M7 Motorway bridge girder installation work in mid-March.
The works are expected to take place between 9pm and 5am on Thursday 13 March, however Friday 14 March and Tuesday 18 March have been identified as contingency dates if required.
A detour route for heavy vehicles including Oversize Overmass (OSOM) under notice travelling on the M7 Motorway northbound or at the Bernera Road southern roundabout will be via the M7 Motorway Northbound, Cowpasture Road, Hoxton Park Road, Joadja Road, and Jedda Road.
The detour route for heavy vehicles including Oversize Overmass (OSOM) under notice travelling on the M7 Motorway southbound or at the Bernera Road northern roundabout will be via the M7 Motorway Southbound, Camden Valley Way, M7 Motorway Northbound, and exit at Bernera Road off-ramp.
Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
