A man who allegedly ‘surfed’ a freight train in New South Wales was arrested at the weekend.

The man allegedly
rode on the
roof of a
southbound freight train near Coffs Harbour
before jumping from the carriage into Boambee Creek on Saturday.

NSW police say two off-duty police officers arrested the man.

Paramedics treated the man before he was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The man was later taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where investigations revealed he was wanted on three arrest warrants by Queensland Police.

He was charged with apprehension on warrant issued in another state and refused bail to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
