Toll taps Meehan for chief financial officer role

Former Treasury Wine Estates and Orica finance boss an experienced hand

Toll has appointed Noel Meehan as its chief financial officer, effective from September 20.

Meehan is a seasoned operator in the role, having been in the position at Treasury Wine Estates since 2015, before which he was Orica executive director of finance for more than eight years.

Previously he held a number of senior finance roles at Qantas and Australian Airlines.

“Noel brings significant commercial acumen and leadership capabilities to Toll,” Toll MD Michael Byrne says.

“He will be pivotal in supporting our transformation program by providing a transparent, disciplined and highly focused approach to our financial reporting and building a high performing global finance function.”

Meehan has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Planning and Administration (Honours) from the University of Leeds (UK) and successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.

He will report to Byrne, join the Toll Global Leadership Team and be based in Melbourne.
