Toll says the combined business will improve service and customer experience in regional WA
The Toll Group has signed a binding agreement to acquire the north-west Western Australia transport division of Sadleirs Group, Sadleirs-Nexus, for an undisclosed amount.
Toll Express GM Larry O’Regan says the consolidation of Toll’s Express division services into Sadleirs Road Distribution Services (RDS)-Nexus will “ensure continuation of competitive transport and freight services” for customers in regional WA.
“Toll Express knows how important regional business is to Western Australia, with challenges facing the industry this acquisition will safeguard the viability of transport throughout the state,” O’Regan says.
“The combined team will be committed to maintaining strong customer relationships and excellent service throughout Western Australia.”
The changes as a result of the acquisition will be “transitioned over time”, without any immediate short-term effects, Toll states.
The company says the new combined business will be able to “take advantage of Toll’s technology advances such as web-based track and trace, sign on glass capability and range of freight dispatch systems that enable full visibility.
“All of these innovations will create a better customer experience.”
The acquisition is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
