Toll Group opens new fuels site in Port Hedland

The major operator’s WA capabilities are set to improve with the official opening of a new and improved, 22,000sqm fuels site in Port Hedland

Toll Group has announced the grand opening of a new fuels site out west in a milestone moment for the major operator’s Western Australian operations.

The new site in Port Hedland, Wedgefield is a 22,000sqm facility that gives Toll a stronger footprint in the region.

The site features enhanced facilities for Toll’s staff, including a four-bay workshop, underground service bay and upgraded driver and office amenities.

“It’s really important to us here at Toll and the site team to take the opportunity to celebrate this,” Toll Group regional manager of west fuels and gases, and resources and industrials Clinton Davey says.

“It’s been quite a journey over the past three years to identify this particular location and use the site to get the most out of it moving forward.”

A smoking ceremony was held as part of the opening, with Davey spruiking the impact a revitalised site will have on the greater Port Hedland region.

“We’re really set for future growth here,” he says.

“We will service roughly 18 combinations out of this site – 12 of which operate on the coast and six on our site-based operations.

“We operate in some pretty harsh conditions in Port Hedland with a lot of unsealed roads. They’re challenging conditions but that’s what we’re here to do.”
