The logistics group has named its new chairman to replace John Mullen
Logistics company Toll Group has announced its new chairman after John Mullen decided to retire from the Toll board at the end of June this year.
Current Toll managing director Thomas Knudsen will replace Mullen as the new chairman, with president of global forwarding Alan Beacham to succeed Knudsen as managing director.
Mullen says the time is right for a new leadership team to guide Toll forward in its next phase of growth.
“With Toll’s performance firmly on the right track, a new strategy well underway and a strong leadership team, now is an appropriate time to hand over to the next chair to guide Toll to the next level of its growth,” Mullen says.
“It has been an honour to serve as chairman through a time when Toll has successfully overcome so many complex challenges to continue its vital role in delivering for the community.”

Mullen will continue to advise the Toll board as a senior advisor and help the group surge into its next phase of growth.
“Knudsen and Beacham are the right people to lead the Toll Group into the future,” Mullen says.
The appointments will take effect from July 1 onwards.
