Toll Group is celebrating a new step in its long-term partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) following the launch of its new rigid fleet in Newcastle.
CCEP has partnered with Toll for its beverage logistics for over 25 years, and the new fleet of Hino trucks is set to both reduce transport emissions and improve driver safety.
The trucks are painted in the iconic Coca-Cola red and feature extensive company branding for both Coca-Cola and Toll Group.
“We are thrilled to have collaborated with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) on the successful implementation of the new rigid fleet in Newcastle, further strengthening our relationship with one of our most valued customers,” Toll Group General Manager Retail Transport Michael Freestone wrote on social media.
“It’s been an exciting lead up to this rollout following significant efforts to ensure the new fleet produces savings in fuel burn and emissions, while the onboarding of more modern equipment brings added safety systems with extra protection and comfort for the team on the road.
“Both the Toll and CCEP teams came together to celebrate the fleet launch … this achievement reflects the fantastic collaboration between our teams, driven by our shared values of customer focus, teamwork, and progress.”
The news of Toll’s refresh of its CCEP Newcastle fleet has come just a few months after a wider Australian announcement that the logistics provider had partnered with Penske and Volvo Group Australia to refresh 25 per cent of its Australian fleet in a $200 million move.
That refresh involves the addition of almost 400 Volvo Group Australia Euro 6 prime movers and 20 rigid Isuzu trucks to its national fleet.
