One of the largest NSW road movements occurred last week
Transport for New South Wales has helped to complete one of the biggest road movements in the state’s history last week.
In a video released on Facebook, TfNSW detailed how it aided a gas turbine from Port Kembla to Yallah overnight.
“One of the biggest road movements in NSW has taken place,” TfNSW says.
“We helped transport a 370-tonne gas turbine 18 kilometres from Port Kembla to the EnergyAustralia site in Yallah.”
TfNSW says the huge effort helped an entire convoy that was more than 112 metres long get across the state’s roads to Yallah.

The combination had a total mass of more than 730 tonnes, making it a difficult task for the transport body to achieve.
The colossal gas turbine will sit in folklore at the EnergyAustralia site after making the arduous journey from Port Kembla.
