Teletrac Navman in silver link with NatRoad

Fleet tech firm aims to help boost digital literacy in the trucking industry

Teletrac Navman has agreed a silver partnership agreement with National Road Transport Association (NatRoad).

The partnership agreement is set to spearhead the next wave of digital adoption in the Australian transport sector, prompting a largescale uptake of digital innovations including telematics and automation, the leading fleet management and transport solutions provider notes.

“We are delighted to announce this partnership with NatRoad,” Ian Daniel, vice president and MD Asia Pacific at Teletrac Navman says.

“Teletrac Navman is at the forefront of digital transformation and telematics within the transport industry in Australia and this collaboration with NatRoad will help drive greater levels of digital literacy across the entire industry.

“The partnership is unique in Australia in that it aims to address key issues that the entire industry faces, primarily a poor uptake of new innovative technologies.

“Encouraging the uptake of new digital skills in the transport space will give the industry a huge advantage by boosting efficiency, safety and profitability. This will pave the way to tackle other industry challenges into the future.”

NatRoad CEO Warren Clark embraces the partnership agreement as a way of combating the challenges his members face.

“While we have traditionally focused on the potential benefits of telematics, artificial intelligence, smart cities, automated vehicles and machine learning, we need to consider that these technologies will need to be adopted by a workforce which hasn’t historically embraced digital transformation,” Clark says.

“NatRoad is committed to working with partners like Teletrac Navman to create solutions that address the complexities faced in the road transport industry. We are committed to building a more sustainable future.”

The partnership agreement between the organisations aims to demystify these technologies, enabling ease of adoption and revolutionising the industry to become more technologically savvy.

“Considering the volume of new technologies penetrating the market, the onus is now on proprietors across the transport sector to embrace and implement these innovative new technologies seamlessly and effectively,” Teletrac Navman says.
