Pallas aims ire at WestLink decision

Former Victorian roads minister Tim Pallas has slammed the State Government for abandoning work on a second river crossing in favour of a tolled road tunnel in Melbourne, calling on the Government to improve freight efficiency.

The WestLink Community Reference Group (CRG), which has been guiding the WestLink project, has been put on hold as the Government recently allocated $15 million to develop a business case for the entire East West Link between the Eastern Freeway and the Western Ring Road.
