NTC’s work is done, says ALC
The National Transport Commission (NTC) has been superseded and it should make way for national transport regulators, according to the Australian Logistics Council.
In a submission to a Transport and Infrastructure Senior Officials’ Committee review of the commission and “other relevant transport bodies”, the council argues that commission funds would be better spent on the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and rail regulator, under the supervision of and giving specialist advice to the Standing Council on Transport and Infrastructure (SCOTI).
