The new T-Ports CEO will help push the SA company to the next level from this month onwards
South Australian Port infrastructure company T-Ports has welcomed a new Chief Executive Officer, with Nathan Kent stepping into the role from July onwards.
Following the appointment, T-Ports says Kent brings specialist experience in optimising port assets and was previously a senior leader of Japan Post’s Australian business Toll Group. Most recently, Kent has held responsibility of Toll’s Energy & Marine sector, a business unit specialising in private port operations, offshore supply vessels and contract logistics.
Kent will bring an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing regional communities, with stakeholder experience spanning local government, corporate logistics customers, and marine and infrastructure operations.
As part of transitioning the business for its next stage of growth, T-Ports would like to thank Scott McKay for his leadership over the past 12 months when he was appointed as the interim CEO to focus on supply chain optimisation.
With this process coming to its natural conclusion, T-Ports has now appointed a long-term ports specialist CEO in Kent to execute those initiatives.
“I’m looking forward to cementing T-Ports position in the marketplace and growing the many opportunities a business such as T-Ports presents to the wider commodity and export community,” Kent says.
“T-Ports has made unprecedented steps in the supply chain, marine and infrastructure field, and it’s an exciting time to be joining such a dynamic business to expand long term relationships with key stakeholders behind the T-Ports brand which include growers, grain traders and investors.”
