A pioneer of the Australian electric vehicle (EV) sector, Joe Di Santo has been appointed as the new General Manager of Sustainable Vehicle Solutions.
Sustainable Vehicle Solution provides sales and servicing of one of the world’s pre-eminent zero-emission vehicle brands, Foton Trucks, to Victorian and South Australian customers, and is a division of CMV Group.
Executive Director Jonathan Crawford says CMV is excited to have appointed someone of Di Santo’s pedigree to the role.
“We are thrilled to welcome John Di Santo to our Sustainable Vehicle Solutions business,” Crawford says.
“His expertise and vision for the future of EV align perfectly with our mission to provide sustainable transportation solutions for our customers.”
Di Santo and Sustainable Vehicle Solutions will both be on show at the upcoming solutions-based industrial sustainability conference SIM-PAC Live, which will be held in Adelaide on the 24th and 25th of September.
Di Santo will be a guest speaker on the subject of accelerating the commercial and cultural acceptance of electric trucks in Australia, while Sustainable Vehicle Solutions will be displaying two Foton 100% Electric Trucks that will be available to test drive.
“I am excited to join Sustainable Vehicle Solutions and work with a team that is so passionate about shaping the future of transportation,” Di Santo said of his appointment.
“Together we will empower businesses to make informed decisions for future planning and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
“Now, more than ever, Australian organisations are feeling the pressure to reduce their carbon footprint, and electric commercial vehicles provide senior leaders with a pragmatic, measurable and instantly demonstrable platform of which to commence reducing their carbon output.
Under Di Santo’s leadership, Sustainable Vehicle Solutions has delivered Foton T5 trucks to brands including Bunnings Warehouse and IKEA.
