LINX Cargo Care subsidiary to take support vehicles to major events
Autocare Services will take charge of delivering all safety, medical and course cars for the 2018 Supercars Championship after being named the official logistics partner for the events.
Autocare, a subsidiary of Linx Cargo Care Group, will deliver the cars for 13 events throughout the rest of this year, starting with the WD-40 Phillip Island 500 to be held in Victoria this weekend, ahead of the Perth SuperSprint, to be held in early May.
Supercars general manager – commercial Jamie Black said he was pleased to have partnered with the company for the remainder of the year, saying the safety, medical and course cars played a critical role for the events.
“Having Autocare and the Linx Cargo Care Group on board to help deliver these vehicles to each of our events is great news for our category,” Black says.
Linx CEO Anthony Jones says his company is “incredibly excited” about the partnership, which he said would play to the company’s strengths.
“Ensuring these vehicles are delivered in perfect condition for each race is exactly what we do for our thousands of Autocare customers every day across Australia,” Jones says.
Linx was formed from the Bulk and Automotove Port Services division of stevedoring firm Patrick when it was spun out of Asciano in 2016.
