Skills survey request to industry

Information on shortfalls sought to forecast needs

Australian Industry Standards (AIS), the federal government organisations focused on skills and training, has urged industry to take part in its transport and logistics skills forecast survey.

The information from the anonymous survey will go to the Transport and Logistics Industry Reference Committee (IRC) to inform the development of the 2018 Transport and Logistics IRC Skills Forecast.

The deadline is January 16.

“This survey is designed to gather feedback about the current industry outlook and identify any new or emerging skills,” AIS says.

“The industry intelligence gathered during this process will help inform the IRC’s advice to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) about transport and logistics industry priorities, skill shortages and future alterations or additions to the Transport and Logistics Training Package.”

The survey can be completed online, should take about 5-10 minutes and can be found here.
