Shippit launches international solution tackling Australian shipping challenges

The new Shippit solution comes as Australian companies face challenges with global shipping

Commerce delivery platform Shippit has unveiled the launch of a new international solution to help address cross-border shipping challenges for Australian companies.

The new system, Shippit International, comes after Shippit’s latest State of Shipping Report revealed that 66 per cent of retailers view global expansion as a critical objective for the next year.

With international shipping remaining a constant challenge for local retailers due to rising costs and complex regulation stifling global growth opportunities, the system is set to make international shipping easier for local companies.

“To sustain high customer satisfaction and meet the needs of international consumers, we require streamlined and cost-effective shipping solutions,” City Beach Australia’s Christopher Lockwood says.

“Reliable and affordable shipping options are crucial for reaching new audiences and driving our business forward.”

Shippit International addresses these issues by providing Australian retailers with access to global markets through a multi-carrier solution that helps alleviate rising costs and poor customer experiences.

By using Shippit’s Smart Routing service and securing competitive rates with key carriers like FedEx, Shippit can offer a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional shipping providers.

“eCommerce has opened up the world, but for too long, Australian retailers have struggled to access global markets,” Shippit chief product officer Inga Latham says.

“Shippit International is designed to meet these needs by providing reliable, cost-effective international shipping. It enables retailers to tap into new markets, which is essential as Australian consumers face cost-of-living pressures that are impacting discretionary spending.

“With only six per cent of global buyers shopping from Australian retailers, this solution offers a significant growth opportunity. Our goal is to empower retailers to expand their reach with confidence, knowing they have the tools to deliver a seamless experience to customers worldwide.”

The key services include simplified global expansion, market-leading rates and fast and reliable transit times.
