West Australian company is offering a security monitoring device to help protect drivers on the job

With many truck drivers working as sole operators far away from not just their home base but also back-up services, a West Australian company is offering a security monitoring device to help protect them on the job.
Secure-watch is a personnel and personal SOS duress, safety and security alerting device aimed at operators who want or need 24/7 protection.
Worn as a wrist watch, Secure-watch allows two-way voice communication to send or receive phone calls to pre-set numbers, SMS and optional access to global monitoring capability using conventional wireless network coverage.
Among the system’s capabilities are options allowing users to self-monitor with voice and SMS messaging. Text messages can also be automatically sent to a single number or SMS bureau for simultaneous distribution to multiple personnel.
It can also be programmed to transmit a data and voice duress alert to the Secure-watch monitoring centre, while alerts can be responded to and qualified by a return phone call.
In the event of a duress emergency, the system also allows a one way “listen in” live voice surveillance channel on a recorded line.
The Secure-watch can be worn on the wrist and uses the standard GSM voice and data mobile network.
