The companies say they will serve customers including the Olympic and Paralympic committees of Australia and New Zealand, broadcaster Channel Seven along with other broadcast equipment suppliers, athletes’ uniform providers and other press companies.
Parent company DB Schenker will look after shipments for those Australian and New Zealand customers, from all parts of the world, which includes a variety of equipment such as athletes gear, broadcasting equipment, medical goods, food, sailing equipment and a large amount of other freight.
All of the required equipment for the games is being shipped via DB Schenker air, ocean and land traffic services, delivered to all venues in and around Beijing, to Qingdao for the sailing events and Hong Kong for equestrian competitions.
The DB Schenker warehouse in Beijing is using grade A security with freight being watched 24/7. With a tight security and customs requirements, DB Schenker will ensure the safe and secure delivery of freight for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
