A recall notice has been issued by Scania Australia for 965 units of the Scania PGRS G25-38 trucks, in the year range from 2024 to 2026.
The gearshift fork spiral pin may dislodge and move out of position leading to an internal transmission failure. If this occurs, it could result in an unintended vehicle movement.
This can increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Scania Australia asking them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the rectification carried out, free of charge.
