Russell Transport to celebrate 100 years of operation

Queensland-based, family-owned transport company Russell Transport will mark 100 years of operation in 2025
Ken, Julie, Phil and Michael Russell are celebrating 100 years of Russell Transport.

One of Queensland’s most historic transport companies, Russell Transport, is celebrating 100 years of operation in 2025.

The third-generation family-owned business was founded in 1925 by Roy Bayley Russell, and has since grown to also include a variety of complementary businesses including Metro-Lift Cranes, Caloundra General Transport, Russell Properties Management, Bayley Industrial and Lytton Industrial.

Roy’s son Phil took over the business in 1970, with the third generation of Julie, Ken and Michael all joining the business in the 1990s and 2000s.

“Reaching our 100th year is a testament to the hard work and vision of three generations of the Russell family, as well as the dedication of our employees and the loyalty of our customers,” Director Ken Russell says.

“As Russell Transport moves into its 100th year, it stays committed to its founding principles of reliability, innovation, and family values.

“This milestone not only celebrates the company’s past achievements but also marks the beginning of a new chapter in its storied history.”

To commemorate the milestone Russell Transport will both host and attend a variety of events across 2025, culminating in a gala dinner to be held in June to celebrate the company’s history.
