Renault is set to expand its Master LCV range with the addition of 4,500kg GVM cab chassis models.
The two new models will feature dual rear wheels and a payload capacity of up to 2,500kg as well as a towing capacity of 3,000kg.
The cab chassis Master will also be available in dual cab form with seating for up to
seven people including the driver.
The company has seen a 70 per cent increase in sales over the same time last year as the Renault brand re-establishes its identity in the Australian market.
These additions to the model line-up are the French brand’s first foray into the upper limits of the LCV segment since re launching in this country.
Power will be provided by the same 2.3 litre turbo diesel powerplant that is used in the current Master van range and transmission options will include a 6-speed manual transmission or Renault’s Quick-Shift automated manual transmission (AMT).
The driveline is reported to deliver 110 kW of power and develop 350Nm of torque from 1,500rpm. Options wise the cab chassis is available with a factory drop side alloy tray as well as a Power Take-Off unit (PTO), a towing pack is also available.
