Recall issued for Isuzu trucks

A problem has been identified with the axle lock nut in the FV/FX and CX models

March 11, 2013

Several models of larger Isuzu trucks are being recalled.

The recalls have been issued by Product Safety Recalls Australia, part of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

According to a recall notice, the problems involve the FV/FX and CX (Giga) series.

“Isuzu Motors Japan have identified that the Meritor axle lock nut locking tab may have been misassembled and this may, in extreme cases, cause the wheel to come loose from the axle assembly,” the notice says.

“A letter is being sent to affected customers. For further information, contact your local Isuzu dealer.”
